Brad Hamilton serves as the Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery and Non-Acute Services for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare (CSRHC). In this role, Mr. Hamilton oversees operations of four ambulatory surgery centers, an ASC focused central business office, and a new 36 bed, surgical hospital. Collectively these facilities host approximately 30,000 surgeries per year. These ambulatory surgery centers are organized as for-profit joint ventures and have approximately 200 surgeons in 15 specialties utilizing them. Mr. Hamilton has over 25 years of health care experience, and has been with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare Corporation since 2009 in a variety of operational roles.
Mr. Hamilton came to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare from Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served as the Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services. During his tenure, he was responsible for all inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services for an integrated health care system including seven hospitals and 40 clinic locations. He was also tasked with profit and loss responsibility for a 40-physician department providing a complete range of services from consultative cardiology to heart transplants, which collectively generated $300 million dollars annually.
Prior to his service at Ochsner Health System, Mr. Hamilton served as Vice President of Acute Services at DaVita, Inc. In that role, he was responsible for the operation, profitability, and growth of 750 inpatient dialysis and apheresis centers located in hospitals in 40 states, which generated approximately $375 million dollars in annual revenue.
Mr. Hamilton also received extensive experience in business development and healthcare operations while serving in a number of other roles as: Chief Executive Officer of the Louisiana Heart Center in New Orleans, Louisiana; Vice President of Physician Services for the Wesley Health System in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Assistant Administrator for St. Dominic Health System in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mr. Hamilton is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives, a Senior Professional in Human Resources in the Society for Human Resource Management, and a Certified Medical Practice Executive in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He received his Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Brad and his wife Stacy currently have three daughters and a son and are expecting another daughter in late October 2012.
