TASCS State of the State Conference
AUSTIN (January 16, 2009) – The Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society (TASCS) has announced the speakers for its annual State of the State Conference on Monday, February 2, 2009 in Austin, Texas. The event will be held at the Austin Four Seasons Hotel from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. A reception with lawmakers will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The speakers include:
- Linda Porter and Pam Adams from the TX Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Division for Regulatory Services will go over the new licensing changes in ASC facilities and answer your questions.
- Doug Danzeiser is the Deputy Commissioner for Regulatory Matters in the Life, Health & Licensing Division of the Texas Department of Insurance. He will address some of the insurance issues that TDI and the Legislature will examine in the upcoming months.
- Ramdas Menon and his team from the DSHS Center for Health Statistics will address the important topic of data collection. As you know, Texas will begin a new data collection program this summer.
- Matt Zurek of the Texas Department of Insurance - Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI-DWC) will analyze the process for adopting the new ASC fee guidelines for Workers' Compensation.
