TASCS Elects New Board Members and Annual Conference Review Article
SAN ANTONIO (August 25, 2011) - The Texas ASC Society membership elected two new members to the Board of Directors - Mark Vital, MD and Colby Stewart, MD - at the 2011 Annual Conference at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Both physicians are ophthalmologists and partners at Houston ASCs.
A record crowd of over 200 attendees and a sold-out exhibit hall had an opportunity to learn more about the industry's latest issues. Some of the topics included a look at the new FAIR Health, Inc., legal issues, and Medicare quality reporting.
"We were pleased to have Robin Gelburd of FAIR Health, Inc. discuss the new role that the entity is playing in regards to usual and customary rates," Texas ASC Society Executive Director Bobby Hillert said. "The ASC industry will continue looking at FAIR Health's product and the role that it will play in the health care system's future."
