Last week, Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society President Adam Hornback, BSN, RN welcomed Representative Rhetta Bowers' staff to tour North Texas Team Care Surgery Center in Mesquite, Texas. 

As the center's administrator, Hornback reviewed the multispecialty procedures offered and the different patient populations that are served. “Ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) offer high-quality, cost-effective healthcare,” he explained to the staff.

Just in Texas, there are over 600 ASCs. The industry continues to grow each year, as patients prefer the ease of scheduling, lower costs, and better outcomes.

The tour was a great opportunity for the staff to learn what the ASC industry is and how ASCs contribute to healthcare cost savings in Texas, all while offering patients quality procedures.
