Founded in 2003, the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society serves as the surgery center industry’s public policy advocate. The Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society is a member-supported advocacy association for Texas surgery centers. The Texas ASC Society serves as a resource for surgery center management and professional education.

The Texas ASC Society:

  • Provides state and federal legislative and regulatory advocacy.
  • Acts on behalf of Texas ASCs at the State Capitol and Washington, D.C.
  • Prepares, supports and defends legislation related to health care and surgery centers at the Texas Legislature.
  • Collaborates with other state ASC associations and the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) on federal activity affecting all U.S. surgery centers.
  • Encourages private insurers and government payers to provide adequate reimbursement for procedures performed in surgery centers.
  • Serves as a resource for surgery center management and professional education.
  • Demonstrates to patients, payers and physicians the value and quality that surgery centers delivery every day.
  • Provides news, reports and data to help member facilities stay competitive.
