The United Voice of the Texas ASC Industry
Founded in 2003, the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society serves as the surgery center industry’s public policy advocate in the Lone Star State.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society is to advocate for the ambulatory surgery industry, provide education, offer regulatory information & resources, assist with operational optimization, and promote optimal surgical care for patients at an affordable cost.
As a member-supported advocacy association those who work in ambulatory care in Texas, the society also:
- Provides state & federal legislative & regulatory advocacy
- Acts on behalf of Texas ASCs at the State Capitol and in Washington, D.C.
- Prepares, supports, and defends legislation related to healthcare and surgery centers at the Texas legislature
- Collaborates with other state ASC associations and the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) on federal activity affecting all U.S. surgery centers
- Encourages private insurers and government payers to provide adequate reimbursement for procedures performed in surgery centers
- Serves as a resource for surgery center management and professional education
- Demonstrates to patients, payers, and physicians the value and quality that surgery centers deliver every day
- Provides news, reports, and data to help member facilities stay competitive
