TASCS welcomes our new President, Dallas Freyer, RN, CASCS; Vice President, Maggie Jeffries, MD; and Treasurer, Adam Hornback, RN. 

“I am thrilled to be the TASCS President for the next two years!” says Dallas Freyer, RN, CASC. Freyer has been an administrator at Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery for almost 20 years. She has served on numerous TASCS committees, PAC committees and is a regular moderator and panelist at TASCS conferences. 

“I am excited to see the ASC industry in Texas grow and to see TASCS grow with it. ASCs provide a safe and economical alternative for needed procedures, and I am proud to be able to help offer patients in Texas this option.” 

Vice President Dr. Maggie Jeffries is an anesthesiologist specializing in anesthesia for ophthalmologic procedures at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kirby Glen in Houston, TX. Dr. Jeffries has been in practice for over 12 years and has seen many great advances in medicine that allow patients to safely have more procedures done in an ASC. “I am excited to see the new procedures that are moving to the ASC setting and to see how well patients are recovering,” she says. 

Adam Hornback, RN has been the administrator for North Texas Team Care for over 10 years and has worked in healthcare for over 20 years in the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex. “I love working in an ASC. The patients and staff are all so grateful every day – it’s a very rewarding place to work,” he shares. Hornback has been on the TASCS Board for the past five years and is the Chairman of the Education Committee that puts together the TASCS Annual Conference and Infection Control Seminar. He is also known as the TASCS social media “Like & Share” King.
